Income Tax Benefit
Donations made to VYASADEVA EDUCATIONAL AND CHARITABLE TRUST (VEC Trust) are eligible for income tax deduction under the provisions of the Income Tax Act, 1961. The Trust is duly registered under Section 12A and approved under Section 80G, which enables eligible donors—such as individuals, HUFs, firms, and companies—to claim deduction on donations made to the Trust, subject to the limits and conditions prescribed under the Act. Donations made through approved banking channels qualify for deduction, and the eligible amount can be claimed while filing the Income Tax Return, in accordance with applicable rules and statutory requirements. Retain the Receipt
After submitting the payment details and donor information, VEC Trust will issue an official Donation Receipt containing the Trust’s PAN, 80G registration details, and donation particulars. Donors are advised to verify the details and retain the receipt, along with proof of payment, for income tax purposes.
File your ITR
While filing the Income Tax Return, donors should report the donation under Schedule 80G with correct Trust PAN and donation amount. Tax deduction is subject to statutory conditions and Income Tax Department verification.
Donation Certificate
As per Income Tax Rules, Form 10BE (Donation Certificate) is generated after the Trust files its annual donation statement (Form 10BD). This certificate is used for ITR matching and verification and is made available to donors through the Trust and/or the Income Tax portal, generally after 31 May following the relevant financial year.
